Accessibility Statement

At InkySpell, we’re committed to making our digital services accessible to everyone. We believe every person has the right to live with dignity, equality, comfort, and independence, and that includes being able to access and enjoy our website with ease.

Digital accessibility isn’t a box we tick once and move on from. It’s an ongoing commitment that we carry through every part of our digital service delivery. We recognise that accessibility requires continuous monitoring, improvement, and adaptation, and we’re always working to make our website more inclusive for all visitors.

A key part of our accessibility initiative is our collaboration with the third-party accessibility organisation UserWay, which helps bring our website into conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG), developed by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) the main international standards-setting body for the internet.

Our approach includes both manual accessibility audits and automated scans to identify and address barriers.

Our website, inkyspell.com.au includes the UserWay Website Accessibility Widget, powered by a dedicated accessibility server. This widget allows visitors to adjust features such as:

  • Increasing font size

  • Pausing animations

  • Changing colour contrast

  • Customising combinations that suit individual needs (as per WCAG Level AAA)

We’ve also enabled Automated Remediation Technology (ART), which improves accessibility for all visitors, whether or not they use assistive technology. ART helps by automatically enhancing areas such as:

  • Adding alternative text to images and non-text elements when required

  • Supporting keyboard navigation with features like focus indicators and skip links

We’re here to make your experience as smooth and inclusive as possible. If you encounter any digital accessibility issues or need information about our accessibility efforts, please reach out. We genuinely welcome feedback and suggestions to help us keep improving.

I take accessibility seriously and will respond promptly to any concerns raised.

Sincerely,

Rosalind Smith
