Meet the Founder
Hi, I’m Rosalind.
I'm a multi-disciplinary designer and creative strategist with twenty years of experience across brand identity, print, and digital design, and twelve years running this studio on my own terms. I'm also a mother of two, a small business supporter, and someone deeply invested in work that is thoughtful, ethical, and built to last.
What two decades in design has taught me is that good design isn't just about how something looks. It's about how it supports real people, real lives, and businesses that are changing and growing. My career has moved through print and production, into digital, web, and brand systems, developing technical depth and strategic clarity in equal measure along the way.
In 2014, I founded InkySpell to work with clients whose values aligned with my own. Over the years that focus has sharpened into specialised brand and web design for established professionals in wellness, lifestyle, and purpose-led industries across Australia. Many of my clients reach a point where their work feels solid but their brand no longer reflects who they've become. They're not starting from scratch; they're refining, consolidating, and preparing to be seen more clearly.
My approach is progressive, exploratory, and deeply personalised.
I value clarity over noise, refinement over reinvention, and collaboration over hierarchy. I care about creating work that supports agency, confidence, and long-term sustainability, so clients feel grounded in their brand rather than second-guessing it.
Today I run the studio from our Hunter Valley home in collaboration with a small network of trusted specialists. Clients work directly with me throughout the entire process, from first conversation to final delivery, which means every decision is made with care, context, and continuity.
If you're looking for a design partner who brings experience, discernment, and calm guidance to your next stage of growth, you're in the right place.

Snapshot of me as a human
I'm a work-at-home mum of two, which has trained me to design with clarity, efficiency, and genuine respect for the reality of a full life.
I move a lot; bootcamp, long walks, headphones in. Movement keeps my thinking sharp and my nervous system steady.
I approach health as a collaborative journey and see no hierarchy between modalities. My own wellbeing draws on conventional medicine, nutrition, naturopathy, somatic practices, and everything in between.
I work with symbolic systems and read natal charts for friends. Pattern recognition is second nature to me.
I'm usually deep in a research spiral or halfway through a course. Learning is how I stay sharp and how I serve my clients better.
Community matters. I have a standing weekly coffee with my local circle of self-employed women and I wouldn't trade it.
